Mobile Devices: There are two main mobile service providers in Barbados - LIME and DIGICEL. SIM cards for your unlocked phone are available for both providers at the UWI Bookshop at a cost of BB $5. The SIM cards may also be purchased at any of the LIME or DIGICEL outlets as a prepaid package for approximately BB $15 which normally includes $10 credit. Prepaid credit may be purchased from most gas stations and the UWI Bookshop.
Data Service: (LIME) You may purchase a prepaid 3G data service that should work in your unlocked iPhone, iPad, Smartphone etc. Micro sims are also available. For a BB$2 per day 10MB data pass, you may text 10MB to short code 145 to activate.

Bus fare is BB$2.00 (US$1.00).
Public: There are three types of buses operating in Barbados:
The Government-owned Barbados Transport Board is a blue bus with a yellow stripe.
Minibuses are yellow with a blue stripe.
Route Taxis or ZRs are a white maxi taxi with a maroon stripe.
Private: A number of taxi services are available and may be sourced in the local telephone directory.
